How is Lumis different from Matter?

Lumis synthesizes multiple AI/tech research sources (Hacker News, arXiv, The Batch, Latent Space) into a single daily briefing delivered to your inbox. Matter focuses on The modern reading app for power readers. Lumis works passively — you receive your briefing each morning — while Matter requires more active engagement.

What does Lumis cost?

Founding members lock in at $9/mo — a fraction of most comparable services. That's 499 of the first 500 founding spots remaining before pricing increases.

Does Lumis cover the same sources as Matter?

Lumis synthesizes Hacker News, arXiv cs.AI, deeplearning.ai (The Batch), and Latent Space — the original research signals, not newsletter summaries of them. If Matter covers these sources, Lumis brings them together into one ranked, AI-synthesized briefing.

Goodfire agents empirically challenge polysemanticity, claim neurons are functionally clean

If neurons are cleaner than assumed, sparse autoencoder and feature-based safety tools may rest on flawed premises.

If you currently use Matter

What changes with Lumis: Lumis starts your day with signal, not your reading backlog. 3 insights delivered to inbox — no app to open, no queue to manage.

What Matter does better: Matter is a beautifully designed read-it-later and newsletter app with excellent reading experience and smart search.

Comparison searches are the warmest intent on the web — you're mid-evaluation, not browsing casually. Lumis is built for the researcher who wants the signal without the overhead. Lock the founding price before the first 500 spots fill.
